FIFe International Cat Show in Vantaa(FI) 2011.08.27-28
Special Abyssinian & Somali breed show
On 2011.08.27-28 we have participated in International Feline show in Vantaa city (Finland). It was special not only because there were over 600 cats, but also it was a Special Abyssinian and Somali breed show. So many Abys in all colors we have seen only in World Show - there were over 60 Abyssinians in all colors including the Silver. Therefore it was really worth to go there.
There were 18 judges invited:
Anna Wilczek, Anne Paloluoma-Sundholm, Anne Veland, Bjarne Wikström , Hanne-Sofie Sneum, Ireneusz Pruchniak, Jarmo Räihä, Joelle Monney Pillonel, Karl Preiss, Kristiina Rautio, Minna Krogh, Raymond Saetre, Robert Lubrano, Sirpa Lindelöf, Tellervo Kass, Thea Friskovec, Yan Roca-Folch.
Our cattery was representing our fawn Abyssinian male Vanilla - Highgaitpaws Vanilla Boy, and a ruddy female Aiko - Fletchers Fairytail. Both cats shown very well. Our Vanilla had finally a chance to compete with other cats in his color group and we are very proud as he become Best Fawn Abyssinian! At Minna's Krogh judgement he got BIV & Nom BIS. Our girl Aiko shown well too - she already closed her International Champion title and is now further competing for Grand International Champion title.
Though our trip was long and we got tired - we've returned home full of impressions. Especially we liked Helsinki old city part and of course nice views on Helsinki port from ferry view.
